Why) When we started our trip in January, we did so with a list of approximately 200 Buckys.  Of those, Pam had specially requested 5 of them and of those, this was the one she wanted to do the most.  In a way, we chose to schedule our bridge around the Turfway schedule.

This is the cover of the racing program we bought at the door.

We went for a walk outside to see if Pam could pick up some insider information.

I didn't need any special information to make my choices.  I chose to bet on #6 Jinete in the first race because she was being ridden by a jockey named Nelson De Souza.  Of course, Nelson went on to win.  That was my only win though as my "bet on the best name" strategy did not fare quite as well as last time.

I liked this painting that we found in the gift shop but Pam preferred ...

... the artwork that we found outside.  Of course, her favourite discovery was ...

... this ad she found in the racing program.  You should ask her about it some time.
