Where) Out and About in Richardson

Why) The story starts at the bridge tournament and what follows below is just a result of that. You will have to excuse me though because I did not exercise my normal level of restraint when it came to choosing images for this section. Because it was my birthday I felt free to go on a bit of a binge.

This building was on the route from our hotel to the bridge site. I liked it because ...

... my first and last initials are the only decoration on the front wall.

Pam gave me a couple of presents for my birthday including the beaver you can see here as well as ...

... that T-Shirt you can see me wearing above. Both of those items were purchased at another stop but I didn't want to get them until today.

As a present to myself, I decided to stop in at Half Price Books and look for some Piers Anthony novels. You can see the ones I purchased
below as well as others that I bought at a stop in Yuma, Arizona. As usual, I will give a one my one sentence opinion of the book.

Once I made it through Split Infinity, I was hooked enough to read the other 6 books in the series.

I liked it but you shouldn't read it unless you are a bit kinky or you are willing to keep an open mind before becoming judgmental.

Although the back cover was really interesting to me, the contents were less so. I did finish reading it however.

I love the front cover image but the first 28 pages were not enough to hook me. I know that I will try to read this book again.

I really liked Muse of Art but once I read 2/3 of this one I had to stop but I did care enough to read the last chapter and see the ending.

I did not expect to like this book at all but something strange happened and now I think it is good enough reread it in the future.

The Mode series (4 books) is by far my favourite set of books by Piers but Fractal Mode does not work as well as the other three.

The Modes also happen to be the only Piers' novels that I have recommended to Pam and she really enjoyed reading them.

I think that the ending to this novel has to among be the most satisfying out of the 1000's of books I have read during my life.

Another book that does not live up to my back cover expectations. I am not sure why I finished reading it.

This book was just on this side of believable until the second half when it went to far and I had to stop reading it.
