What) The Super 8 Motel in Biloxi is located right across from the street from the Beach and all major casinos are within a 3 mile radius. The large kiddie pool and hot tub alongside the main pool make this a great place to relax. All rooms come with free wireless internet, coffee maker and hair dryer. We offer a Super Start Breakfast for a fast a easy way to start your day. (1)

Why) When we are planning a bridge trip, it is my job to prepare a rough itinerary while Pam makes all the bookings.  When I make the itinerary I always show the price for the hotel the bridge is being held at as well as the name and price of a good cheap motel that is nearby.  For some reason, Pam found and booked this even cheaper place without checking the reviews or consulting my itinerary.  When she finally did that a review similar to the following spooked her a bit.

“We travel with our son's sports team and we have stayed in large, small, old and new hotels around the southeast. This place gives new meaning to the word "dive"! The rooms were filthy. Floors have not seen a vacuum in a very long time. The smell seemed to be a combination of mold, mildew and cat urine. Not sure if the linens were clean and were afraid to ask. If you are quoted a rate, it is too much to pay for this place!!!!” (2)

In the end, Pam decided to cancel our reservation at the Super 8 and switch to the Treasure Bay Casino.  The Treasue Bay turned out to be one of the best places we have ever stayed.  Of course, this does not stop me from kidding Pam about the Your Inn (Urine) Motel.

We drove by the Super 8 a number of times and it always looked fine. (1)

We ended up with an ocean view balcony suite on the 4th or 5th floor.  This is the view looking left and ...

... this is the view looking right.

I even saved the room key as a memento.
