What) AT&T Stadium, formerly known as Cowboys Stadium, is a city-owned stadium with a retractable roof in Arlington, Texas. It serves as the home of the Dallas Cowboys (at $2.3 billion it is one of the most valuable sports clubs in the world) of the National Football League. The stadium was designed by the Dallas architectural firm HKS, Inc and was completed on May 27, 2009. Originally estimated to cost $650 million, the stadium's current construction cost is $1.15 billion, making it one of the most expensive sports venues ever built.

The stadium is sometimes referred to as "Jerry World" after Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who originally envisioned it as a large entertainment mecca. The stadium seats 85,000, making it the fourth largest stadium in the NFL by seating capacity. The maximum capacity of the stadium with standing room is 105,000. It also has the world's largest column-free interior and the fourth largest high definition video screen, which hangs from 20-yard line to 20-yard line. (1)

Why) One of Pam's employees asked her to pick him up some Dallas Cowboys merchandise when we were in Texas. We happened to be driving by the stadium while we were in between Buckys so we stopped in. If I had read the description above beforehand then I might have sprung for the tour of the stadium. Because I didn't do that we have to settle for an internet version.

I would have loved to take a walk around the stadium but most of the access was blocked off so I settled for this truss shot. I know that...

... I would have taken some version of this entrance picture myself (2) but there is a zero percent chance that I could have ...

... taken anything like this wonderful action shot. (3) I do hope that the stadium tour would have included a walk up to ...

... the top level of seating so I could examine the structure from this angle but I doubt it. (4) It is also unlikely that ...

... the 180 foot wide HD screen would have been on long enough to allow me to see if the quality is really this good. (5)

Oh well, I do know that part of the appeal in a Buckys is imagining what could have been and allowing yourself to remain open to (6) ...

... the spontaneous. I picked up this fridge magnet at the Walmart next door to the stadium and I am still enjoying it today.
