What) Right next door to Florence Prison, an outlet store can be found which features a diverse display of arts and crafts made by the inmates. A replica of an army tank made from hundreds of popsicle sticks and unicorn drawings are just a few of the many treasures to be found in this small store. Come at the right time and you might even get to meet one of the inmates who are often working at the store. A post-shopping lunch at the nearby L&B Inn is highly recommended. (1)

Where) On the north side of East Butte Avenue, just east of Highway 79/Pinal Pioneer Parkway, just across the road from the prison. Tu-Sat 7am - 3:30pm  1-520-868-3014

Why) Most of the reason is that it was on our way and it happened to be one of the few places I wanted to stop in at on the long drive between Phoenix and San Antonio. Pam though had a much more personal reason for wanting to stop here. Little did we know that something from our stop would stay with both of us for a long time afterwards.

Here is the place. Can you see all of the nails lying in the parking lot? We didn't but our tires decided to take two with them as souvenirs. (2)

Once we got inside the place I admired the hand crafted art on the wall but didn't end up buying anything. (3) Pam was drawn to ...

... a key chain display that was much like this one and she ended up buying two of them as a gift. (3)

I can't show them to you here because they are personal but I think I can close this section by saying "Good luck Jeffery." (3)
