What) After starting our trip with a week of winter driving, it was really nice to drive into Nevada and out of the snow for what promised to be a six week escape from winter.
Where) Somewhere along Interstate 15 just North of Las Vegas
Why) The
snowless skyline of Las Vegas sure looked good to me.

I assumed the internet would have many better examples but

discovered the Las Vegas skyline is not very attractive
looking and thus is not frequently photographed. (1)
In a way I prefer looking at this cartoon example (it is blurry because I refused to pay for the crisp version). (2)
Anyway the "best" skyline images were taken ...
... at night
but we rarely arrive or leave at night so I don't get many
chances to fail to take a nice image like this one. (3)
