What) Generally we walked back and forth from the Causeway Bay Hotel to the Summerside Branch #5 Legion. But we also took walks along the waterfront and on the Confederation trail.

Where) Walking from 311 Market Street to 340 Notre Dame Avenue should take about 15 minutes.

Why) After the experience of playing at a number of different bridge tournaments, Pam and I both tend to prefer staying at a hotel that is about a 10 minute walk from the playing site.  This was the case for us in both Gatlinburg and Montreal but Summerside is the only walk that became a Buckys in itself.

Pam and I had a couple of conversations speculating on what might be in here before we asked a local about it.

We were so engrossed in the conversation that we had to walk by here a couple more times before we even noticed this statue.

I never missed seeing this wooden statue though.

I liked looking at it and photographing it so much that ...

... I probably should have given it it's own Buckys entry.

When we were trying to find the bridge site for the first time, we had fun imaging that this Courthouse (about a block away) was it.

Even though I come from a land where dandelions are treated as the enemy, I do harbor a secret admiration for them.
If you feel as I do then click here and watch a short video I took of an amazing field of dandelions growing in Summerside.

The bridge tournament was being held at the George R Pearkes branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.
This memorial was just inside the entrance.
