What) La Porte de La Mauricie has been serving the public for over 30 years. Today, it combines a 400 seat restaurant with banquet facilities that can accommodate more than 500 people, 20 motel units, an Esso gas station, a convenience store, a franchise Thai Express and an A & W to provide all that you could need for your stop. All of our newly renovated rooms have a private bathroom, a flat screen TV, wireless internet and air conditioning. We serve the best prime rib in the world. (1)

    Where) 4, Boulevard Sainte-Anne (on Route 40 Exit 174)

Why) We spent almost every night of our trip staying in one hotel or another but this is the only one that turned out to be a Buckys on its own.  Take a look at the pictures I took and see if you agree with my assessment.

I took more pictures then you would expect in an attempt to make my bed appear just right.

I tried to do the same thing with this lamp but I am not as happy with the result.

I did like most of the art hanging in our recently renovated room.

It was easy enough to photograph even though ...

... the piece in the bathroom was strategically placed to give me lots of interesting angles.
