What) The fiberglass statue of Chuck the Channel Cat is 25 feet long, built in 1986 and named in memory of local sport fisherman Chuck Norquay, who drowned while fishing. Selkirk's Red River is renowned for its large catfish and the town promotes itself as the "Catfish Capital of the World." (1)

Where) 168 Main Street   In front of Smitty's Family Restaurant

Why) It should be hard to lose when we are visiting an outdoor statue of an animal.

The plaque they placed at the base of the statue is a nice tribute to Chuck.

The statue has its own appeal.

Does Chuck look ready for a meal at McDonalds? I know that I was up for ...

... taking pictures of a meal.  This image really belongs in another section but it was right beside Chuck so I left it here.
