What) In the early 1950’s, 3 surveyors came from California to explore Michigan's Upper Peninsula.  They stumbled across an area of land where their surveying equipment didn’t seem to work properly.  As they continued their research of this land, they noticed a constant feeling of being light-headed.  Later, realizing their queasiness and problems with the surveying equipment only occurred in an area about 300 feet in diameter, they felt they had discovered a “Mystery Spot”.     "Can you solve the mysteries just waiting for you? You will experience optical contradictions and physical sensations here that are hard to believe. Even a blind person could be affected." (2)

Where) 150 Martin Lake Rd     Adults $7    not open until May 10    1-906-643-8322

Why) If you have been following this website for a while then you know that this is the fourth Mystery Spot that Pam and I have visited.  I keep putting them on the list in an attempt to understand exactly what it is about some Mystery Spots that affect Pam so negatively.  I wonder if this stop will provide any new information.

Although I knew that the Mystery Spot would be closed I thought we could drive by anyway.  Pam's reaction was somewhere between ...

... the powerful ones in California and the non-existent one in Montana. This meant she could not be convinced to walk through this forest.

This is the sort of thing that normal people go to the Mystery Spot to experience. (3)
