What) A giant concrete killer whale is the entrance of Big Willy's, which is a beach shop. There are 2 other similar shops in the area that have a shark (7100 Thomas Drive), and a regular whale that might be a dolphin. You can stand in its mouth and get your picture taken. (1)

Where) 9703 Front Beach Road (Just down the road from Ripley's Believe it or Not)

Why) Just imagine a street with a ship wrecked building, a beach shop with a beautiful killer whale entrance and an upside down science museum.  Now fill the gaps with mini golf courses, strange restaurants and other attractions.  I would spend a few days exploring such a place but Pam vetoed that suggestion in favour of continuing on with our driving trip.

Big Willy's appeared to be closed for the season when we were there.

Take a look at this picture and compare it to the next one to see which you prefer.

A viewer of this website (who wasn't Pam) suggested that I include more pictures of Pam and myself.  There are actually 130 or so but I think there should always be a reason to put one of us in the picture.  In this case, Pam should look terrified as she is about to be eaten by a giant killer whale.  Because she doesn't, I normally would have discarded this picture and kept the one above.

I was fascinated by the whale's eye.
