What) The North Christian Church is a Disciples of Christ church in Columbus, Indiana. The church was designed by Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen (1910–1961) and completed in 1964. It was the last building designed by Saarinen before his death. The building is hexagonal in shape, with a central spire which is 192 feet (59 m) high. (1)

    Where) 850 Tipton Lane

Why) When I found out that Eero Saarinen designed the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, I did some research and came across this church.  It was the only other one of his buildings I found that was both on the way and visually appealing at a quick glance.

This place would probably have looked better in the full bloom of spring.

I did like some of the detail work but ...

... I was not able to capture that in these pictures.

Eero Saarinen's MIT Chapel in Cambridge, Massachusetts was dedicated in 1955. (2)
