One of those "famous" highway signs.  This one is on Montana Route 12. (1)

Why) Well, if you have been observant, then you may have wondered why every reference that I make to Lewis and Clark uses bold yellow text.  I do this because I have gotten into the habit of exclaiming “Lewis and Clark!” and pointing every time I see one of the fairly frequent highways signs that are found throughout many of the Western States.  Pam has become quite tired of this affectation of mine but it hasn't stopped me from doing it. (Admittedly I use less volume and gusto then I initially started with.)  So, it should go without saying that we had to stop at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center here in Great Falls.  Fortunately for Pam, the Center is closed on Mondays in October so we did not get to go inside.

It is easy to forget just how difficult travel was 200 years ago. This is from a brochure for the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center.

That's me, (silently) pointing at the Missouri River.

Pam was impressed by these flowers.  Apparently they do not thrive naturally in Saskatchewan.
