What) Mac the Moose is a fibreglass moose in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. It is claimed to be the world's largest moose at 32 feet (9.8 m) tall and a weight of approximately 10 tons.  The project to create Mac was completed in May 1984. Mac was recently moved and is now located just off of the Trans-Canada highway next to the Moose Jaw visitors' center. While Mac has been vandalized many times, he still stands and proudly represents the city. (1)

Why) Originally, this item was not on the Buckys list but for some reason Pam and I started talking about Mac during the short drive from Regina to Moose Jaw.  Pam became convinced that the sculptor and or the City of Moose Jaw would never permit the existence of an anatomically correct Mac.  In the new spirit of Buckys, I convinced Pam that we needed to pull off the highway and check it out.

A note about the images:

If you wish to view all 300 pictures in the CALIFORNIA section as a slide show (skipping all text descriptions in the process) then press F11 (changes to full screen mode which may or may not be necessary depending on what resolution your screen is set to) and click on each picture to bring you to the next one.  If you wish to read the text then use the tab on the side of the screen to scroll up and down or use the Bucky links
you see in the text to navigate your way through the sections. (Experiment with the F11 button during this process.)

Also note that unless I provide a link to another web site (1), all of the pictures were taken by either Jason (mostly) or Pam (if Jason is visible).
