What) Lee's Legendary Marbles is a museum and shop based on Lee Batterton's hobby. The museum and sale/trade marbles are in the office space of a former greenhouse while the remainder of the greenhouse houses the flea market. It is located about a mile north of Interstate 80 exit 353 at 3120 S. Lincoln Ave. No admission is charged but a donation jar is kept on the counter. (1)

Why) I have fond memories of the time I spent playing marbles as a school age child.  Have you ever had the dream where you are walking around and there is money lying all over the ground just waiting for you to pick it up and stuff into your pockets?  I used to have that dream about marbles instead of money but picking up the marbles made me just as happy.  If the marble store had been open when we drove by then I'm sure that I would have left with my pockets full.

Here we are parked in front of Lee's.  (Pam decided to remain in the car.)

One of the displays in the front window.

This is my less than legendary marble and rock collection in a stereogrammatic format.

I have recently decided to combine my marble and liquid collections.
